We are on a private jet right now on our way to slinger.

Let me just clarify: this: is 30, 40 minutes after the race at Knoxville that i race in.

The truck series Srx had a jet waiting for me at the airport across the street to fly me to slinger Wisconsin to go race a quarter a quarter mile short track.

So the Srx Series really knows how to take care of people and i am loving this.

I was like.

So like what does a jet like this go for thinking that, like man, it would be really nice.

It’s like someday travel in like a jet towel races.

They’re like, oh, just like 12 million.

I’m like, never mind.

I’m kind of sad that fly went by really really quick.

I want to enjoy enjoying my private jet flight for the night.

But we got our rental car.

We’re gonna go find a hotel sleep for a couple hours

And then we have practice at 10 am.

We just got done talking to everybody, figuring out the game plan.

I guess we get practice cars that we don’t actually race.

They’re not our race cars.

We’re gonna go out there, get 30 minutes of practice each.

We’re gonna go have some fun with those, try to learn the track and then after that we get to go out in our actual race cars for five laps

And then we have a couple hours of down time

And then we’re gonna get to racing.

You kind of come down in the hole, see how you lose your loot, have a lot of wheel spin there.

Yeah, get your left side, just maybe below that white line or to this one.

But you don’t want to turn twice here.

You wanna get one turn, you’ll feel it, the car will.

Just, i mean it’ll just suck you right around.

But you can get aggressive with the fuel down there.

I mean early on here too.

But just watch as you leave because of how flat it is.

It looks fine.

It looks like a lot of fun.

Just make sure you’re.

You don’t ever have time to rest.

So yeah, obviously you don’t want to get below the line.

It looks like you would.

I mean you can kind of touch the apron.

It don’t get really super upset, but you don’t want to be down there every lap.

Right, how many times?

Yeah, probably you don’t think it’s very long.

But yeah, practice just ended here at Slinger.

We were second in practice.

We were so close.

Times are really really close, like we’re battling for hundreds over here.

So at least i’m fast.

That’s all that matters.

We’re in the top two for speed time.

The kid is actually at the top of the board.

Race is here all the time.

This is his home track.

He just won the big race here a couple nights ago.

So it’s cool to see the hometown kid doing good against, like all, like the legendary erasers from back in the day.

So i’m sure he’s pumped.

He’s doing great, but tonight i need a good finish, struggling to get the turn center off.

Really yeah,

I mean you ran well.

Yeah, not bad, i feel like it’s just it’s gonna keep getting tighter and tighter.

Did you play with anything inside there, as far as brakes or anything?

Are you more tight on entry?

No, no, I know it turns good.

On entrance, why didn’t i play with the bias?

I knew i just make my entry loose

And i’ll help the center off.

Okay, but just that last, like right when it sets and needs to get that last bit of cut, it doesn’t want to get that last bit all right.

We have this the fifth race.

It’s the sixth time, not fifth, because i don’t know why i’m just making that up.

But um, but they’re beautiful camping world.

Oh Yeah, I love it.

This is like: wow, i guess they want to be, uh, you know, very cozy, warm.

So everybody don’t get in a fight.

That’s right.

I’m not shy of saying that because i’ve seen a major beef going down, Srx Series.

I don’t know what those are.

You guys just didn’t know how to work it, kind of like the door, the race car drivers.

So what happened is: i saw this guy with Srx Shirt and he walks in.

I’m like obvious, thank you so much.

Right, and he’s looking at me like sure, but he’s kind of like, don’t know what to say.

And i was like, yeah, man, it’s been being off all day.

I mean you work with srx right, and he’s like: no, i’m the driver, my man, be right behind or in front,

Yeah, i’m the Ac guy.

I’m gonna show you the Ac guys.

They see you guys pretty fast.

Oh, you see, guys, finish ahead of me.

I’ve got experience at this.

This week i’ve been doing my, uh, my apple watch doing the broke it.

No, i’ve been doing, uh, might be crack.

I’ve been doing the workout, oh god, during the race.

So i’m a little bit obsessed with the apple watch.

Yeah, It was fine, a little bit tight in the center, but not bad.

I was a little bit slow in the center.

Everyone’s yelling whenever a driver does anything.

It’s awesome heat races, starting sixth first heat race, and then they’ll invert the field based on where we finish for the second heat race and then go time for the race.

By the way, to the guy in the gray pullover that told me to go back to the kitchen you can.

Yeah, You lose the front tires and the right side very quick, especially when you’re on the outside.

It’s almost worth giving up that spot.

The run before was fun.

It kills your tires.

I cranked two rounds of front brake to.

It helped stabilize the entry a little bit, but it’s still too free.

Center off.

I noticed that the last three star trip at the top.

Well, you did good.

There on the bottom, i mean you’re good.

Did it get any tighter for you?

It stayed free the whole time.

It just lost grip.

It lost lateral grip.

That’s what i was struggling with the most.

It’s just hand to.

The point is like it just really wanted to float around.

They rode side by side for 50 laps.

I was saving till lap, scared.

I was scared when you, when you wrecked him- when he came down on you, yeah, and he was still out there, he was running through the field.

I was like, okay, so when i, i didn’t mean to wreck him, but like i was like dude, i can’t move if you come down on my nose, i just stuck it in there.

I was like he comes down.

He comes down, he came down and after, when his caution.

I thought he was going to full throttle me from the infield, so i got on the outside of Tony.

So i was like, if you’re smart, you won’t pull throttle, Tony.

We both thought that when he went through the Amazon.

Because i’m like we’re good, i’m just trying not to get ready.

Whenever you got tagged by ernie- I mean

I mean he had-

He had a choice.

All he had to do was hold the line and they could have come off and they could have drag race down there.

Yeah, Elio, oh my God, two cars at one time.

Yeah, I know Elio, i know he’s pretty clean driver and when he hits you he really doesn’t mean to.

So, like i, i raised him pretty quickly.

Tony did learn me a little something getting out of here.

I was like, maybe he’s gonna just like i.

And now i was like he’s telling my story.

He’s gonna give it to me.

And i just i didn’t.

I’m just so frustrated with people just dumping me.

I know, i know, i understand every race.

I understand and i watched the video of it

And i was at your door coming off of the corner.

I was there on the straight way, so i didn’t want to dump you, but i was.

I just held my line on the bottom.

I didn’t drive you up the track, i just stayed right there.

I didn’t want to take you out.

I knew that was gonna end up like that, but i didn’t try to take you out.

Well, that’s just not cool.

I mean i got dumped by Ernie huge in the first round.

Yeah, and that’s ernie, he’s driving me like that and i got pissed because he hit me.

So i hit him back and that was the end of it.

But like i was just i was at your door

And that’s the only way it passed

And i got a good run off too.

And i just stayed at your door and i drive you up because i didn’t want to take you out.

I was hoping you just come down and hit my nose and bounce off.

Remember, when i’m at somebody’s door, i’ll just turn them off.

When you’re at someone’s door, they’re going to run the second lane here.

Back-to-back tracks, small corners are very banked.

It was, it was fast.

Um, i learned a lot.

I learned, i learned a lot today, like, wow, i wish i would take two days off

And then i’ll go.

When i was beside you, it was so calm.

I’m like i won’t adore you for no reason.

I swear to God when i was beside the others.

Yeah, I won’t put you in the fence.

There wasn’t one laugh out there that it looked like you guys were like.

It looked like every lap was the last five left.

It’s so unnecessary to just hit people on the straightaway.

All it does is get you loose and upset.

I did.

I did have my fair share with uh, uh, Ernie, on the beginning, but i was like tight and i’m trying to lift the car and he turned me turned.

Yeah, and the next one, hope he’s not kissing you because he’s turning me in.

That’s how i like it.

Oh now we’re not recent formula one like we’re saying: calm down, great job, thank you.

I mean you, and you and ernie, both sort of said: all right, old man, give us some space, right.

And then second one was: uh, i drove.

I drove him down to the end.

I honestly don’t know what to say about that race.

I had a great time, i had so much fun, but i knew, coming back over here, that Paul was gonna be pretty upset, which, at the end of the day, that wasn’t my fault.

All i did was hold my line on the inside.

I didn’t drive him deep into the corner.

I was at his door.

I just held my line and i knew he was gonna chop down on my nose.

But what do you want me to do?

Run the boards at slinger and try to pass him?

Not gonna happen.

I just held my line.

He came down.

I knew he was gonna do that

And then he spun out.

I held my line on the bottom.

I don’t know, i don’t know what to tell you, but i know he’s over being taken out, being taken out or wrecking and stuff, which i understand that you gotta be conscious of what’s going on around you.

But at the end of the day i had a fun night.

This: i love racing srx.

It’s so much fun, there’s no pressure.

You’re just here having a good time and the competition is so much fun.

There’s such a diverse group of drivers.

So i was really happy.

Today i’m gonna be racing the next srx race at Nashville, so that’s gonna be exciting.
