I felt like it was the perfect day to wear my tie-dye t-shirt since or my hoodie since it is the throwback race at Darlington and i busted out my heat waves.

I feel like they give me straight 90s vibes.

So this place is a lot bigger than i thought it was going to be.

It feels tiny.

On the sand it’s probably just not very wide.

When you actually look at it, you know what feels different to me being in.

We made it here to Darlington.

I am so excited.

I’ve driven this track on the sim a little bit.

It seems very, very difficult.

You know.

I’m so excited for that.

They refilled the fridge with the monster ultra.

That’s my most exciting moment is when they’re nice and cold.

We’re gonna walk the track right now.

For those of you that don’t know, Darlington is a very weird track.

The first time they threw me in the sim trying to practice on it, i had no clue where to go.

See how the apron comes up.

The track, like those white lines, are the track, the aprons, everything under which you can go on the apron.

But it’s a lot flatter.

So it’s gonna be crazy to start the race, especially if people start putting you like three or four wide, something that i didn’t notice on the sim, because this time you’re looking at screen, you don’t really get like that visual representation of how the banking in the track decreases and increases.

So like right here.

Obviously the track starts up here, but right here it’s almost just as bank as it is up there.

So, like you can make this another car with wide, you can fit your whole truck in here.

I feel like everyone’s gonna make fun of me, but i love this style like this is me.

This is like my California stuff.

We’ve been sitting for a couple hours, actually not as long as i expected, but it’s gonna be fun.

I just trying to figure out what to do on the first stage was very, very difficult.

This is a very, very hard track.

They don’t call it too tough to tame, for no reason, uh.

But we were doing actually pretty good there.

Midway through the race towards the end, uh, we ended up getting in a wreck which sucked.

Um, got bunched up on a restart.

Some of the guys in front, uh, checked up and just piled everyone in.

I think like 15 cars were involved in the wreck.

One of them, which was me, so my back hurts a little bit, definitely got a headache, but is what it is.

We had a good run going tonight, especially for the circumstances.

I can’t thank my guys enough.

My crew chief did an amazing job.

All the crew guys, the pit guys- uh, they did an amazing job of getting the truck fixed up.

My spotter is amazing, walked me through everything.

But here’s what it is: rough night here at Darlington.

We’re gonna head off to the next one and keep our heads up.
