1 MINUTE AGO: Simone Biles Got INJURED Heavily On LIVE TV – domic

Simone biles is arguably the most popular gymnast in modern times, with at least eight Olympic gold medals and 23 World medals with her name on it.

But her endless stream of achievements once came to a halt at the 29th Olympic Games held in Tokyo, when she withdrew herself from the women’s competition due to mental health issues which put her at risk of injury.

Now, in the 2024 Olympics, a new new problem has arisen, this time as a crucial injury to her left calf.

It was an injury so severe that she hopped and crawled for a while.

Would this be another push back set to make her withdraw once again?

Join us as we examine Simone’s injury, her previous setback and their unexpected outcomes body a shocking injury.

On July 24th 2024, famous American Gymnastics star, Simone biles, went through a brief, painful episode during the women’s gymnastics qualifying events at the Paris Olympics.

She was seen limping while warming up for the floor exercise, after which she got immediate treatment for her left leg.

She left the tape wrapped around her Cal for the rest of the event, even with obvious difficulty.

Despite this, sources from Nbc report that the 27-year-old had no plans to pull out from the competition.

She would be competing in all planned events at the Olympics, even with lingering concerns about her injury.

But that moment of pain seemed to stick out so much that independent described the moment she limped off as dramatic.

It was marked by great concern from a crowd of celebrities and fans who had also flown over from the United States to support her.

Seeing Simone limping away to receive treatment and even hopping at one point no doubt brought back memories from the 2020 Olympic Games.

This was back when the gymnast had to remove herself from the Olympic finals at Tokyo finals due to mental health concerns.

Here is how it happened.

At the 28th Olympic Games in Tokyo, Simone biles had been vocal about the immense pressure she felt.

She once told of a time when she felt America would hate her if she gave up too soon.

She explained the mental toll they experienced because of this, as she was competing at such a high level.

The whole world was watching her and it felt overwhelming.

Simone’s mental health was on the line and the problems only got worse.

The first time when her struggles became most apparent was during the team all round Final on July 27th 2021.

During one of the most important routines, she only completed 1.5 twists instead of the intended 2.5.

After the Vault, she withdrew from the competition, saying that she was very concerned about her mental health.

She explained later that she dropped out from experiencing the twisties, a huge mental block encountered by gymnasts.

Science explains it as a mental problem that increases the risk of serious injury, as it greatly changes a person’s balance and spatial awareness.

Her decision to leave the event came as a shock to many, but her safety and well-being had to come first, as continuing would have increased the risk of injury.

About 4 days later she returned and she performed adequately in the balance beam.

Final, Simone, while looking back at what happened in a post-event press conference, stressed she couldn’t risk the team a medal because of her inadequacy.

She trusted the girls would do a great job without her and left everything in their capable hands.

Her intuition was right on this, as the Us Women’s team won the silver medal.

After that happened, Jordan chills, who trained alongside Simone, said publicly that they would not have gotten to that spot without her.

What followed were countless messages of support for her on social media, including words of support from former Us First Lady Michelle Obama and popular actress Krie Washington.

On world mental health day of that year, she encouraged young people to use all the resources they have to better care for their mental health.

You are not alone, she said.

However, this part event had nothing on her.

She was determined to do better this time, but it is helpful to note that her problem back then was a mental block and not merely physical pain, as she recently experienced.

Despite the painful injury, Simone returned to perform with tape wrapped around her calf, and the results were breathtaking against the odds.

Simone surprised everyone with an all round score that far out face the competition.

To the loud cheer of fans in the arena, the injured, Simone biles, was declared the top allround qualifier for the upcoming individual event.

To address the concerns about her injury, Simone’s coach, Cil Landy, said there was no need to worry, as this was an injury she had felt before.

When asked whether Simone would be leaving the Olympics because of the injury, Landy assured Nbc that it wouldn’t happen.

The coach explained that if the injury was as bad as it looked, Simone wouldn’t have been the top qualifier at the event.

When Simone’s mental health was brought up, Landy said that her mental health was right, implying that there was nothing to be concerned about.

The independent took note of how Landy grew frustrated by the repeating questions on Simone’s injury and mental health, implying that anyone familiar with gymnastics should understand that what happened is nothing new.

Simone gave no hint beforehand of leaving the competition despite the injury, and there were no reports about reduced routines to relieve pressure because of it.

After facing the same question, phrased in different ways, Landy said that though she serves as the American head coach, she is not a doctor and would not be answering further questions about Simone’s injury.

2 Days Later, Simone shared a post on social media that she’s grateful to be doing what she loves, implying that her condition was much better than everyone thought.

Something similar happened at the Us Olympic trials, where some of the leading contenders who wanted to represent America couldn’t perform at their best because of serious injuries, but that never stopped them from doing what was expected.

Among these contenders were Syes Jones, Sky Blakeley and Kayla Dello.

These were people who were defeated by Simone on her road to the Olympics, so what happened to her was to be expected.

An article in the independent clarifies that what happened that day only seemed unusual because of the unfamiliar press and audience.

Those who watched gymnast perform at the much smaller events would not have been too concerned.

Most viewers at the Olympics were people who only viewed this once every 4 years.

So, as expected, seeing her in that condition would be disturbing for those unfamiliar with the sport, but to Simone and her coach it was like a normal day in the life of a gymnast.

She and other top professionals have said that pain tolerance is key to being good at the sport, so seeing her on loan should come as no surprise to any of her fans.

Keep in mind that she is the same person who won six medals at the 2018 World Championships in Qatar while battling a major kidney stone.

Her persistence to compete during this time had sent her to the emergency room at least once, but that never stopped her from getting all four gold medals in that competition.

News sources tell us that health concerns never stop the gymnast from being upset with herself whenever she made mistakes.

Her pain tolerance was most apparent in the interview that came after her solid performance at the qualifiers.

When she was asked about what happened when she fell, she briefly thought about it for a moment before laughing it off, saying that it was just the nature of the game, as explained by Will Graves, of the independent.

Pain is a normal part of gymnastics.

Nobody knows this better than Simone. able to keep moving forward.

Simone biles was set for the women’s Team final, scheduled 6 days after the painful episode during the qualifying event and things on.

Most decorated Us Olympic gymnast.

On July 30th, Simone solidified her title as the world’s most decorated gymnast, leading the Us Women’s team to victory in the competition.

She reportedly owns more gold and Olympic medals than any other gymnast in history.

As of now, she holds at least eight Olympic medals, with five gold and 23 World Medals, of which over 20 are gold.

At this rate, Simone has the chance of adding up to four gold medals to her collection thanks to her recent performance at the Olympics.

Simon’s performance was exceptional, looking triumphant as she rushed the stage with her her teammates waving the American flag.

Despite her statement the previous year implying that she is not interested in analyzing the stats, the medals keep coming and the most recent was America’s first gold medal in women’s gymnastics since Rio De Janeiro in 2016.

She performed exceptionally well while battling a carf injury in the bar, beam Vault and floor events.

Her victory in the floor event put the final touches on America’s Victory, raising her total number of medals to eight.

Just the previous day, Simone biles had secured her place in the individual finals with fellow American Sunni Lee.

This marked the first time two teammates ever faced off in the all round final, and many people traveled from the United States to watch it happen.

Reports from Gma and Bbc indicate that many celebrities, including John Legend, Lady Gaga, Tom Cruz and Ariana Grande, were all present to watch it happen, and the American athletes did not disappoint.

Not long after winning the women’s team medal, Simone biles took to social media and posted a series of four photos on Instagram with a caption hinting at a response to criticisms from 2020 Olympic teammate Mela Skinner.

This led to a feud on social media that no one was expecting.

The critic had reportedly said in the past that Besid Simone.

Many American female gymnasts lacked the work ethic for such an achievement, and Simone targeted this post towards that statement.

Michaela Skinner blamed the United States Center for safe sport for this problem, believing it was thanks to their policies, an influence on ending shady and manipulative practices against athletes, that female gymnasts were not as good as they used to be.

According to Skinner, there is no intensity or aggression anymore, as coaches are not allowed to go hard on athletes for fear of getting cancelled.

She explained that a bit of aggression is needed in a sport like this, and while the intentions of the organization are commendable, their policies would only make things worse.

What followed was a heavy backlash on her social media pages, and they prompted a much needed response from her.

She posted an apology on her page saying that she didn’t mean to disrespect anybody in any of her posts.

Before the start of the Olympics.

She wished the American gymnastics team good luck, promising to cheer for them every step of the way.

Shortly after Simone biles led her team to victory at the Paris Olympics, she released a post congratulating the female team, saying their hard work had paid off.

It was a far cry from the statements she made about them before this, but did nothing to stop the online feud between her and Simone.

Currently, Simone’s post has over 2 million likes, provoking an unexpected response from Michaela.

According to Newsweek, she caught the shade and blocked Simone on social media.

Simone showed proof of this on X, indicating an ongoing feud between the both of them.

2012 Olympian Michaela became part of the feud, leaning more to Simone’s side of the fight.

On her Instagram post, joked about having to apologize for sharing her first name with someone like Skinner.

Simone’s courage and resilience have made her the biggest gymnast in the world today and her subsequent performance would only establish that further.

Despite the kidney stones at 2018, the mental block in 20121 and the leg injury in 2024, she still stands stronger than ever, bringing honor to her family, her nation and her fans all over the world.

So what do you think?

Will Simone Remain the most decorated gymnast for very long?

Is there someone who is set to pass her?

Biles suffered a pretty serious injury and it’s definitely got people concerned.

It’s a tough break for her and a big let down for fans.

We’re all looking forward to seeing her back to showing off her amazing skills.

Simone biles hurt her Cal while she was warming up for the floor exercise was um, the team started on balance beam and then moved to the floor, and while she was warming up for the floor exercise, she injured her calf.

And you see her talking to the trainer and sitting in a chair and you’re like: okay, what’s going on?

How concerned should we be about this injury, considering its potential impact on her performance and recovery time?

How seriously do we need to take this?

And then, um, she was really limping pretty badly, to the point that it was like, Oh my God.

Like this, this feels like it could be a major injury.

And and again I’ve said, you know we don’t watch gymnastics that often.

I watch the trials and I watch every time the Olympics come around.

What’s on Simone B’s mind in the moment right after she lands on the mat?

When you land on the mat, what is going through your mind?

Okay, I’ll start from the back of the runway.

When we’re standing there, let’s go back to the runway.

So in the back, like we already knew, my gymnastics was kind of janky, like in training.

Simone biles was already dealing with twisties, but she was determined to push through them.

In training I was having twisties already, but I’m trying to push past that

And I would literally tell the team, my teammates like: I’m fighting demons.

I’m fighting demons right now, but I’m going to do it for you guys, because, like it was, the cords were not connected.

Simone is really trying to get the trick right, fighting with both her body and her mind.

So I literally felt like I was fighting my body and my mind to do these tricks.

So we’re trying to, um, do some different things in the back

And I’m like, okay, I can’t do a fallen off beam.

Can I please go back to my double double, which is way harder, but I know if I twist more, it’s better for me.

Simone biles decided to step back from the team competition for Team Usa, which surprised a lot of people.

Biles dropped out of the team competition for Team Usa.

It happened right after the Vault when she that she simplified her more complicated jump midair and landed awkwardly.

She received the lowest Vault score of her entire career, consulted with medical staff and left the floor.

Simone biles mentioned that the Vault feels a bit weird in the air, noting that she’s been experiencing some unusual Sensations while performing the move.

Vault is feeling a little bit weird in the air and you can see it like the girls.

We ended on floor because we started on vault out there.

So we end on floor.

I go to do my first pass and you can see in the air like you can ask the girls.

It’s not like.

My first pass is a triple double and usually when you do it- you see my regular videos- you see one, you see two, you see three, this one.

It looks like I’m going like this in the air and it doesn’t feel comfortable.

I have no idea where I am, but I’m twisting like praying land on my feet and they’re like that looks jacked up.

You can tell all the gymnasts in there from all the countries are like that’s jacked up.

That looks jacked up.

It looks like she’s never done this to day in her life, but they know it’s a twisty.

So people are kind of tring not to watch.

Is that a normal amount of tape on someone’s ankle or does it seem excessive?

Not knowing like.

Is that a normal amount of tape on someone’s ankle?

Or is this?

You know how serious is this?

And then she- not just the tape

But then um between, because after the floor they did the uneven bars and then the Vault, I believe, was last

And she was like limping around.

She was crawling.

At one point crawling was was outrageous.

May have been a joke, it was kind of hard to tell, but it was.

It was just like a strange scene, cuz she was also smiling and laughing with her teammates.

Despite dealing with injuries, she’s still performing at an exceptional level and managed to finish in first place.

But anyway she, she did great um and she, um finished first in the allaround.

It was the women’s qualification.

And so um she and Sunni Lee, who of course we talked about.

They are both allaround gold medalists.

Simone Bs all around Bault Bean floor.

Jay carry the Vault.

Jordan Charles floor.

Sun Lee all around beam and bars.

Uh, Simone Bs did not let an injury scare, did not let an injury scare slow down on a long way to return to Olympic competition.

She posted a superb allaround total of 59.5 66 in front of a star study crowd at Bery Arena.

Plenty of Cbs were in attendance: Cruz, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Tr out, as did Anna winter, the long serving editor of Vogue magazine.

And I do the one in half and my teammates are shook.

They’re like: are you okay?

Are you okay?

And I’m trying to convince myself: I’m okay.

So I don’t need you asking me if I’m okay because I’m okay, listen, I’m okay.

We’re great, like everything is not okay, like literally.

And so they’re like: you’re fine.

And I was like.

I don’t know why I did that.

I I don’t know why, and I knew once I got up there.

I’m chalking up: we can’t put Jordan in.

Yet I have to go.

I have to put up a score.

No matter what it is over the table, I have to put up a score.

So I’m chalking up, and you can see if you watch the video.

I’m like because I have no idea what I’m going to do when I hit that table.

And so in my head I’m standing there and I’m like I’ll just do the double Pike, which I haven’t warmed up in like 4 days.

And I’m like, if I do a double Pike over, rotate it, it’s fine.

And then I was like they put up a score for a 2 and a half.

So I have to do a two and a half

And I’m thinking if I do a double back, that’s so dangerous.

My coach will me.

My team will never forgive.

And I saluted and I was like praying to God because I knew I was going to do a vault

But I didn’t know what I was going to do.

She was aiming to execute a 2 and a half twist but ended up only completing a one and a half twist.

I was trying a two and a half and I ended up doing a one and a half.

Just got a little bit lost in the air.

Um, which is really unfortunate, especially to have a score like that.

Go up there for the team.

Um, I feel like I robbed them of a couple of T and we could have been a little bit higher in the rankings.

I was like: um, I think the girls need to do the rest of the competition without me, and they were like: I promise you you’re fine.

We watched you warm up and I said, no,

I know I’m going to be fine, but I can’t risk a medal for the team.

So I need to call it.

And um, you usually don’t hear me say things like that, because I’ll usually persevere and push through things but not to cost the team of Medal.

So they were like: okay, well, if Simone says this, then we need to take a pretty serious, and so, um, I had the correct people around me to do that.

I saw her back in 2021 during the what was supposed to be the 2020 games in Tokyo delay because of covid, the Arenas were empty.

Uh, so it was great to be there to watch her perform then, but this was a whole different ball game because this, the crowds were there and you see just how much energy she takes.

The other ladies from Team Usa they take from the crowd and-

And she is just such an extraordinary performer-

I saw her on the Vault.

And what thing about Simone bars is that she’s she’s doing moves that the other women cannot do.

Basically so, even if she makes a couple of mistakes, even if she steps out, when she takes a landing, it doesn’t matter, because her difficulty score is just so high.

So a real honor to see her and and the other ladies from Team Usa.

Huge numbers of celebrities were out watching as well, had an Ariana Grande was in the crowd.

Tom Cruz was there, Lady Gagar, she is a crowd pleaser and so pleased that the crowds could be there.

Unlike back in Tokyo, they surely medal contenders on Tuesday night.

That’s when Team Usa next goes out for the women’s gymnastics.

Here’s what Cecil Landy had to say about Simone B’s injuries.

Yeah, So her, her coach, did speak and said that it was it was a minor issue.

So this is a quote from Cecil Landy.

Uh, quote, she felt a little something in her calf, but yeah, that’s all.

So she said, yeah, it

It’s minor.

Obviously you don’t want any kind of injury going into in the Metal Event, but from what it sounds like it’s it’s.

Basically the news is as good as it can be the fact that Simone B can be, can be injured, and I not allow that to get in the way of her routine and still perform Flawless says everything you need to know about her.

Oho, I mean the move that she does.

She got, she’s competing

And they got moves named after her.

And I knew I was going to try to do a 2 and a half, but I didn’t know how many twists I was going to make.

And I, just because I couldn’t twist anymore.

It’s just like your body: your brain opens up, have no idea where you are.

So I open, landed like that and as soon as I land, I kind of grin

And I’m like

And I salute and I want to run.

If I could have gotten a plane and flown home, I would have done it, but I, just as soon as I landed, I was like: America hates me.

The world is going to hate me and I can only see what they’re saying on Twitter right now.
