Hey guys, welcome back to the vlog! Today, I’m taking you through my pre-race routine as I get ready for the weekend’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
I started my morning with my favorite breakfast, a parfait, and now I’m about to head out for a two-mile run. After that, I’ll hit the gym for a full-body workout. I usually focus on upper body exercises two days before a race to give myself a day to recover.
Later, I’m heading to Millbridge Speedway to practice in a micro. I haven’t driven one in a while, so it’s great to get back on the dirt and get used to the feel again.
At the gym, I do a variety of exercises to strengthen my back and upper body, which are crucial for racing. I like to start with back workouts to handle the strain racing puts on my back. After a solid gym session, I’m ready to head to Millbridge.
Once at Millbridge, it’s all about getting comfortable in the car again. I take it easy at first, just getting a feel for it. The steering is tight, and it’s a bit different from what I’m used to, but it’s all about getting back into the groove.
Driving on dirt is so much fun, and it’s great practice for Bristol. Even though Millbridge isn’t exactly like Bristol, any dirt practice helps. After a few laps, I feel pretty good and more confident for the upcoming race.
