We made it to Kansas, but I ran into a little problem—I forgot my racing shoes at the shop. Luckily, I got a replacement just in time before everything kicked off. Things moved quickly—straight into practice, then qualifying, and finally, the race.
At first, the car felt pretty solid, and I thought everything was going according to plan. However, after our final pit stop, things took a turn. We entered the pit in 14th place but dropped to 21st when we left. That really hurt our race, and I was super disappointed.
Once we changed the tires, the car became really loose, making it tough to control and regain positions. Despite the challenges, I feel like I did my part, especially in battling with some top competitors. We pulled off some good moves, like passing the #52 and holding our ground against the #88 and #23, both of which were fast cars all day.
Even though the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, I’m proud of how we fought. It was a tough race, but we’ll learn from it and come back stronge
