Hailie Deegan joins ThorSport Racing, driving the No. 13 Ford for the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The team, led by Duke and Rhonda Thorson, is returning to Ford after two years with Toyota. Deegan will be working with crew chief Rich Lushes, who previously helped Ben Rhodes win the 2021 championship. ThorSport has high hopes for Deegan as she steps into her third year on the NASCAR National Touring scene.
In October 2022, Deegan made an impressive debut in the Xfinity Series, finishing 13th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. She’s aiming for more opportunities in the Xfinity Series after 2023.
Front Row Motorsports has finalized its lineup for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series. Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland will drive the No. 34 and No. 38 Ford Mustangs, respectively. McDowell, who has found a home with FRM, is optimistic about the upcoming season. Zane Smith will also defend his title in the Craftsman Truck Series and compete in select Cup Series races, including the Daytona 500.
