Deegan, who celebrated her 16th birthday by attending a truck race at Eldora, finally got the chance to race there herself. She described her excitement and the challenge of navigating one of the top dirt tracks in the country.

During practice, Deegan focused on adjusting to the track conditions, noting how the moisture in the track influenced her driving strategy. Despite the difficulties, she felt confident in her car’s positioning and the advice she received from her team. However, things took a turn during the race when she was caught in a multi-car crash caused by fluid on the track, leading to a frustrating end to her run.

Despite the setback, Deegan’s performance in other events, like the SRX series, has been impressive. She managed to climb into the top five, showcasing her skills on dirt tracks and proving that she’s a force to be reckoned with. Deegan expressed her renewed confidence, attributing it to the hard work she’s put in over the past few months. Even though she faced physical discomfort during the race, she was thrilled with her second-place finish and the support from the crowd.
