BREAKING: 3 hours ago, Simone Biles ‘collapsed’ after her husband’s interview went viral. The secret of the story is made clear..VIDEO..mixi

One night, I broke down. It really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that. For me, it’s like, talk about me all you want, but never come for my family. Simone Biles speaks out months after her husband’s viral interview.

Simone Biles:
“I always say we’re the catch, man. I always say we’re the catch, man.” The Olympian sits down with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast and recalls the backlash her husband, NFL pro Jonathan Owens, faced after making these comments.

Jonathan’s Interview:
Last December, Jonathan’s interview on The Pivot podcast made waves online. Why? Because the football player said he was the catch in his relationship with Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Despite the internet’s uproar, Simone wasn’t bothered. In fact, she defends her husband’s comments, saying, “He never said I wasn’t a catch. He said he was a catch because he is. I’ve never met a man like him.”

Simone adds that she was there when he taped the interview and laughed along with her man. “I was in the room, sitting on the chair. You just couldn’t see me on the videos, and I was feeling great. I was like, ‘My man just killed that.'”

Fans’ Reaction:
Simone left feeling great, but things took a turn when fans reacted negatively online. “I thought everything was okay, and then I go on Twitter and everybody’s like, ‘Divorce this man. He’s mean.’ And I’m like, ‘He’s the sweetest. He praises the ground that I walk on. Truly, I’ve never met a man like him.'”

The criticism got so bad it took a toll on Simone’s mental health. “People were saying, ‘Divorce him, divorce him.'”

Husband’s Reaction:
Jonathan initially found the backlash hilarious but eventually, it hurt Simone deeply. “One night, I broke down. I’m like, ‘Why are you guys talking about my husband like this? You don’t know him. You don’t know who he is.’ And if anybody’s met him, they know he’s the sweetest guy and will do anything for anybody. That really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that.”

Outro:
Simone and Jonathan met back in 2020 after matching on a dating app, with Jonathan crediting Simone for making the first move. “If she hadn’t messaged me, chances are like, I probably wouldn’t have. We matched, but I was the first to message. Yeah, she messaged me. She wasn’t scared.”

The couple tied the knot in 2023 in a private City Hall ceremony in Texas. Simone is one proud wifey and makes it clear: “For me, it’s like, talk about me all you want, but don’t come for my family, never.”
