Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seems to be a trend among celebrities lately. Stars like Tom Hardy, Chris Hemsworth, and Mario Lopez have been in the news, competing and supporting their kids in the sport. Now, Gisele is reportedly bringing Jiu-Jitsu into her personal life by dating her instructor.
If you’ve been living under a rock, Gisele just got divorced from NFL star Tom Brady. They were married for 13 years and together for 16. When they started dating, Brady’s ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, revealed she was expecting his child, which was a challenging moment for Gisele. She reflected, “We were dating two and a half months when he found out, and it was a very challenging situation.”
Despite the challenges, Gisele supported Brady throughout his career, during which he won seven Super Bowls, while she graced the covers of over 1,200 magazines.
However, tensions rose in their marriage when Brady returned to football after briefly retiring in 2022. Sources indicated that while Gisele didn’t hate his decision to play, she was frustrated with how he handled his retirement. By October 2022, a source revealed Gisele felt their marriage was beyond repair, and shortly after, the couple announced their finalized divorce.
Just weeks after, Gisele was spotted with Joaquim Valente in Costa Rica, raising eyebrows. While neither have confirmed a romantic relationship, they were seen having dinner together, accompanied by Gisele’s two children, Benjamin and Vivian.
Gisele has been training in MMA and Jiu-Jitsu for about a year and a half, with Joaquim as her instructor from the start. This has led many fans to speculate whether there was a connection between them before the divorce. After 13 years of marriage, two weeks seems too short to move on and find a new partner.
However, a source close to Gisele has denied any romantic involvement, insisting that Joaquim is merely a close family friend who has taught her children Jiu-Jitsu for years. Page Six first reported Gisele and Joaquim as a couple, branding him as her “new man” and a rebound after the divorce.
If you didn’t know, Gisele and the Valente brothers have a long history. They even participated in a photoshoot for Dust magazine last year, alongside Joaquim’s siblings, Pedro and Zhu Valente. The Valente Brothers run a self-defense gym in Miami, where they teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In February, Gisele even shared a video of herself training with Joaquim and his brothers at their gym, demonstrating her skills and even putting Joaquim in a rear-naked choke.
So, could Joaquim be another reason behind Gisele and Tom Brady’s divorce? It may sound far-fetched, but we’ll have to wait for more information to draw any conclusions.
