So, Diddy was arrested in New York City and is facing serious charges: racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. In an interview with the Daily Mail published on October 1st, Wendy had some pointed things to say.

She mentioned how many people have told her, “Wendy, you called it,” including some family members. Wendy also recalled the disturbing 2016 surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting his ex, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway, which CNN released back in May. She remarked, “It is about time to see this video on TV of Cassie getting pummeled. It was just horrific.”

Wendy further noted the horrible reality of the power dynamics involved when dating a music mogul. She reflected on Cassie’s 2015 split, saying that dating someone with Diddy’s clout makes it hard to escape their influence. “You never know when they’re going to pop up,” she warned, emphasizing how that level of paranoia can be terrifying.

Diddy and Cassie had an on-and-off relationship for about a decade before finally splitting in 2018. Initially, Diddy denied the assault allegations after Cassie’s November 2023 lawsuit described events consistent with what the surveillance footage showed. After the footage was made public, Diddy addressed it in an Instagram video, expressing how painful it was to reflect on his darkest moments.

Shoutout to Wendy Williams for continuing to speak out. It’s tough to be labeled the “I told you so” person, especially with such serious allegations. But hopefully, this will encourage people to listen more closely to those who speak up.
