What’s Going On, Everyone?
It’s your boy, John Liquidator, back with another video. So it looks like Angel Reese is in a Chicago Sky nightmare. Tonight wasn’t a good match-up for her and the team.
For this one, we’ve got to go all the way up to Chicago. Let’s get it, let’s go!
We’ve all been hearing the news about Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky having trouble in paradise. The Chennedy Carter situation is boiling over, and it looked like they really needed her out there in a major way today. I don’t know what’s going on between Carter and Reese with this team, but they need to figure it out because what was displayed out there tonight was embarrassing for the Chicago Sky fan base. I’ve got to keep it real; this was bad.
They lost the game 85-65, a 20-point deficit, and they just couldn’t find their way. Brittney Griner went off, and Kamilla Cardoso looked like a deer in headlights trying to stop Angel Reese, but she couldn’t do it either. Griner walked away with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five blocks. She was unstoppable.
Now, Griner wasn’t the only one going off. Former Chicago Sky player Kahleah Copper dropped 29 points, and she pulled up to the arena wearing her Chicago Sky jersey, letting it be known she was standing on business.
A lot of fans are blaming head coach Teresa Weatherspoon for the poor performance tonight. Personally, you can’t put all the blame on her, bro, because they couldn’t find a rhythm at all.
Angel Reese spoke with reporters immediately after the game, and here’s what she had to say:
Roll the footage:
Angel Reese: “I mean, I just had to step up in that moment, you know, with Kennedy down. I was ready. I’m a vet, so I know what’s up. The environment was great, the crowd was good—I just wish we had delivered better. Angel, she’s a great player. She was really efficient tonight, and we didn’t follow the game plan like we should have. But we get another shot at them on Sunday, so I’m looking forward to it.”
The game was tough, no doubt. They’ll need to rebound from this quickly if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.
But yeah, that’s it for now. The Chicago Sky is going to have to figure it out fast because it’s getting too late in the season to be taking these losses. They’re trying to make a run for the playoffs, but with performances like tonight, it’s going to be tough.
Get down in the comment section and let me know your thoughts on this, man. Keep those notification bells on because you know I’m bringing you the news. Until next time, shake the haters off! I’m out of here. Peace!
