Simone biles had the chance to bring home two more medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but is only adding one to her roster.
After a surprise fall on August 5th, the gymnast first competed in the women’s balance beam final.
Simone slipped and fell off the apparatus during her routine, keeping her from making the podium.
Biles was one of five of the eight women competing in the event to fall off the beam, among them her teammate Sunni Lee, who also fell off the beam, preventing her from getting a medal as well.
Biles and Lee finished fifth and sixth respectively, with Italy taking the gold.
Biles has previously won bronze on the event at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.
The 27-year-old went on to compete in her last event, the floor final.
Stepping out of bounds twice during her routine, biles was able to clinch the silver, being beat out by Rebecca Andr of Brazil.
Biles was joined by teammate Jordan Ch on the podium, who brings home the bronze.
Simone is leaving Paris with four total medals- three gold and one silver- and the title of the most decorated American gymnast ever.
