Florida! We’re back at the Freedom Factory for another race, this time with Dad Ry teammates. The car’s looking a bit off—might need some adjustments, but we’re ready to go. I volunteered to qualify and start the race, knowing Travis might be more aggressive in later laps.
Qualifying was a bit of a surprise since I missed the drivers’ meeting and found out we were running the kidney bean track instead of the oval. Luckily, I got a clean car in one piece, and we’re starting in third.
The plan is simple: save the car, especially the tires, for Dad when he takes over. If the rain hits, things could get wild. The key is staying out of trouble and using the nitrous wisely—only if absolutely necessary to avoid carnage.
During the race, the car hit limp mode a few times, but we managed to hold onto third place. Dad took over, and despite some tough competition and an early start from the leaders, he fought hard, making up ground wherever possible.
In the end, we finished just one spot short of the win. It was a close battle, and while we’re disappointed, we’re proud of the effort. We’ll be back, stronger and smarter for the next one.
