Eugene Middle School Shooting (VIDEO)

Tragedy struck in Eugene, Oregon, as a routine day at Cascade Middle School turned into a nightmare. Charles Landeros, whose daughter was enrolled at the school, was involved in a custodial dispute that escalated into a fatal police shooting earlier this month.

The incident unfolded when officers attempted to arrest the 30-year-old Landeros, who grabbed a pistol and aimed it at one of the officers, firing twice but missing narrowly. In response, another officer dodged the gunfire and returned fire, fatally shooting Landeros in the temple.

The District Attorney deemed the officer’s actions justified, as Landeros was carrying a fully loaded firearm with nearly two dozen rounds of ammunition and was also found to be carrying a backpack with even more ammo. Prior to the shooting, Landeros had made concerning comments on social media about killing police.

The body camera footage of the incident provides a chilling account of the events leading up to the shooting. The video captures the tense moments as officers attempted to arrest Landeros, who resisted and ultimately posed a lethal threat to law enforcement and others present at the scene.

The video footage and information available paint a vivid picture of the harrowing events that unfolded at Cascade Middle School, leaving the community in shock and mourning the loss of life.
