Our journey has been quite an adventure. We decided to take a motorhome to the race due to our dog Rambo’s severe epilepsy, which usually keeps him with Chase’s mom. With her unavailable, the motorhome was the best solution.
We finally arrived in Atlanta after a long drive. There were some hiccups, like finding the gate locked and dealing with parking uncertainties. On the way, we debated who was the smartest, leading to an impromptu IQ test where I scored the highest.
Race day arrived, and despite a positive start, things took a turn. During the race, I felt the back of the truck getting hot, which escalated into a fire. I made it to pit road, but the fire extinguisher fumes filled the truck, causing me to choke and struggle for air. Thankfully, JC helped me out, but it was a scary moment.
Racing can be tough with unexpected challenges, but we’re keeping a positive mindset and ready to tackle the next race.
