Earlier today, we learned that Jason Aldean ran off stage last night, on July 15, during his second show of the Highway Desperado tour at the Xfinity Theater in Hartford, Connecticut.
Aldean’s sudden departure mid-performance of his hit song “Crazy Town” raised concerns as he appeared exhausted from the heat. He struggled to sing parts of the song, took frequent pauses, and wiped his face on his shirt. Ultimately, Jason never returned to the stage, leading to the cancellation of the show.
This morning, Xfinity Theater posted a statement on their social media, relaying information from a representative for Jason Aldean. The post read: “Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date. We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date. A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night’s performance. Please stay tuned to all social media channels for updates as they become available.”
Xfinity Theater’s post was also shared on Jason Aldean’s Instagram stories, prompting concern and anticipation from fans for an update on Jason’s condition.
This afternoon, Jason Aldean took to his social media to provide an update on his health and clarify what occurred during last night’s show. In a video, he stated:
“Hey, what’s up everybody? Jason here. It’s Sunday, and I’ve had a lot of people checking on me today after hearing about what happened last night at the show in Connecticut. Just want to let you know, thanks to everybody that’s calling in checking, I’m doing fine. It was just one of those things, man, I was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show. I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion. I’ve heard a lot of stuff going around, heat stroke, all this stuff. I don’t think it was quite that serious, but it was pretty intense last night at the show. Anybody that was at the show knows how hot it was. I knew it was coming, I was trying to get through as much of the show as I could and eventually, I knew it wasn’t going to happen, so I just got off stage to figure out what was going on.
To everybody that came out to the show last night, thank you guys so much for being there. Obviously, it’s not the way I wanted the show to end, not what I was hoping for on our first week of the tour, by any means. I had a couple of IVs last night when I came off stage, and one today. We’ve got a show in Saratoga tonight, and we’re going to play that show. We’ll also make it up to you guys in Hartford. Again, I apologize for cutting the show short, but we’ll come back and make it up to you. I’m feeling a lot better, so thank you guys for checking in. We’ll see you tonight.”
It’s great to hear that Jason is doing well and that the incident was due to dehydration and heat exhaustion rather than a more serious heat stroke. We’re happy to see and hear Jason is in good health with no complications from last night’s event.
