The man rammed into the patrol cars and attacked the police (VIDEO)

Surveillance video footage from the early morning hours of January 8 reveals a harrowing incident involving Perez Garcia, who drove a 2002 white Ford F-150 to the Hard Rock casino parking ramp at 205 Pearl Street.

Garcia’s behavior inside the parking ramp was erratic, as he attempted to draw the attention of security personnel to summon the police. He was seen smoking from a glass pipe while engaging with one of the security cameras and repeatedly using his truck to strike the glass doors of the elevator entrance. Additionally, Garcia dropped notes in the parking ramp alleging police corruption and implicating the casino.

At 2:36 am, Garcia was observed parked in the S City Police Department parking lot, facing the rear door of the building, for approximately two minutes. During this time, no officers entered or exited the building before Garcia returned to the Hard Rock parking ramp.

Around 3:41 am, an officer from the S City Police Department entered the parking ramp and parked on the second floor to conduct surveillance on a subject in an adjacent property. Unaware of Garcia’s presence or his erratic behavior, the officer remained in their marked patrol car in uniform.

At 3:57 am, Garcia rapidly accelerated and descended to the level where the officer was parked. He intentionally rammed his truck into the officer’s squad car, causing a violent collision that deployed the airbags, disabled the patrol car, and trapped the officer inside. The officer immediately called for backup.

Responding officers arrived from the 1200 block of Grand View Boulevard and the S City Police Department at 601 Douglas Street. Garcia then fled the scene, driving towards the exit ramp in a white Ford Ranger.

During the pursuit, officers repeatedly ordered Garcia to drop any weapons he might have been carrying. Despite the commands, Garcia continued driving towards the main exit of the Hard Rock parking ramp. The situation remained tense as officers attempted to apprehend Garcia and ensure the safety of all involved.
