There were so many times when I was just completely spinning out, feeling so lost and unsure of myself.

Gomez recalled I was in a very, very dark place and I was really struggling to find my footing and maintain any semblance of stability.

Gomez said that it has taken years of intensive therapy, deep self-reflection and a concerted effort to prioritize her own well-being.

In order for her to finally heal from the trauma of that relationship, I had to really work on learning to love myself and be okay on my own, regardless of what was happening with Justin.

She explained that was the only way I could move forward in a healthy and positive way, now happily single and in a good place.

Mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Gomez said she is incredibly grateful to have emerged from that turbulent period in her life stronger and more at peace with herself.

I’m just so thankful that I was ultimately able to come out the other side.

She said it wasn’t easy and there were so many times when I didn’t think I was going to make it, but I persevered and I feel so much more grounded, secure and confident in myself.
